Legal & compliance guide

Last updated: August 2026

This page is an operational guide for the KBL community, not legal, tax, or investment advice. Obtain advice from qualified Rwandan professionals before making decisions that affect your business, tax, licensing, or personal liability.

Keynus Blueprint Launch is committed to operating lawfully in Rwanda: registered business, fair terms, responsible data handling, safe events, and clear boundaries on what our programs provide.

Before launch or first paid cohort

  • Choose and register the appropriate business structure with RDB.
  • Confirm activity classification (education, events, consultancy, or mix) with a Rwandan lawyer.
  • Set up RRA tax registration, invoicing, and record-keeping with an accountant.
  • Register as a data controller with NCSA / DPO if you process personal data in Rwanda.
  • Publish Terms, Privacy, and Event Code of Conduct on this site.
  • Define written membership, event, and retreat terms including refunds.
  • Obtain consent for photography, testimonials, and marketing where applicable.

Trust and safety

  • Do not present mentorship as regulated financial, legal, tax, medical, or investment advice.
  • Require specialists to identify qualifications and scope in writing.
  • Keep member information confidential with access controls.
  • Disclose sponsorships and commercial relationships.
  • Use vetted suppliers for travel and events.
  • Maintain an incident reporting and safeguarding process.

Ongoing rhythm

  • Before each in-person event: confirm permits, send conduct briefing, remind attendees of prohibited items.
  • Quarterly: review business registration, RRA compliance, supplier contracts, and insurance if applicable.
  • Designate an incident contact; staff know escalation steps.
  • Lawyer and accountant review major pricing or program changes.
  • Honour data subject requests and review cross-border storage disclosures.
